The IES La Sénia is a state college located in La Sénia, an industrial small town in the south of Catalonia. The College was founded in 1975 and at that time, it just provided post-compulsory education. In 1995 the college started to provide compulsory education, ESO (12-to 16 year-old).
As a VET provider, the VET courses that it offers are the following:
- Intermediate Courses
- Office management
- Trade
- Industrial Manufacture of made-to-measure wooden items and furniture
- Advanced Courses
- International Trade
- Manufacture of made-to-measure wooden items and furniture
This college is also in charge of the organisation of intermediate VET entrance exams and advanced VET entrance exams. The learners who pass them have the possibility to enrol in a VET course.
It has to be highlighted that this TC works closely with the companies in the town by signing co-operation agreements with them, and informing them about the contents to be taught at the school or the activities organised by the college.
